We’re excited to announce the opening of our new White Canvas agency office space in Walnut Grove, Langley at C320 10278 96 Avenue! After leasing for several years we were able to purchase our own piece of commercial real estate, and renovate it into the studio of our dreams with a little help from Rain City Industrial.
Over 1,250 sq ft, the new office is designed for multi-purpose use, both open concept areas and private leadership offices. 9ft glass walls allow for ample natural light throughout, with industrial chic finishes including sealed concrete flooring, contemporary industrial pendant lighting, and white brick accent walls.
Our favourite feature? The custom-millwork cider bar with standing views of the Golden Ears mountains, perfect for our team Cider Fridays or socializing. Equipped with a kitchenette with matching shelving and white marble quartz countertops that tie in with reception, our goal was to make the studio a home away from home for staff and client alike.
Returning to in-person work as we come out of the pandemic is something our team has been looking forward to, since some thing just aren’t the same via Zoom. With the opening of the new office we also are launching our hybrid working model with a mix of in-office and at home blended schedules to accommodate personal working preferences and family schedules.
For those embarking on their own office reno, here are 5 things we learned during the process:
- Things won’t go perfectly (or on time), just ride the waves
- A space is nothing without people and energy in it
- Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore looks good on everything
- Listen to the experts and designers, but don’t be afraid to flex your style
- Remember the renovation is an investment in your business, stay the course and it will pay off!
